Matcha Chai Latte

Equipment

  • 1 milk frother

Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 chai tea bag or the equivalent of loose leaf tea
  • 1/2 tsp matcha powder
  • 3/4 cup soy milk or plant milk of choice
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or to taste

Instructions
 

  • Pour hot water into a large mug. Steep 1 chai tea bag (or the equivalent of loose leaf tea) for about 3 minutes. Remove the bag and discard. 
  • Sift matcha powder directly into the mug. Blend the matcha powder into the chai with a milk frother.
  • Add maple syrup and *hot* soy milk to the mug.
  • Mix everything together and froth the milk using a high-quality milk frother.
