Vegan Cheese Slices Brands

Where Can You Buy Plant Based Cheese Slices

Whether you want to put some melty cheese on a vegan burger or make a grilled cheese, you’ll have no problem finding many Vegan Cheese Slices Brands at your local grocery store!

Most vegans are aware that you can make your own plant-based cheese slices using a combination of spices and seasonings with the magical agar agar powder, but it’s so much more convenient to buy premade vegan cheese slices at the grocery store.

This list of vegan cheese slice brands starts with the most popular brands that can be found almost anywhere and ends with brands that are only sold at select stores. If available, I’ll link to the brand’s product locator so you can be sure that the brand you are looking for is in a store near you.

In the description for each brand, you can also find out if there are any other certifications, such as Kosher, gluten-free, soy-free, non-GMO, organic, and more.

Ingredients can change at any time, so be sure to read the most up-t0-date product labels and certifications before buying. If there are any vegan cheese slices brands not on this list or brands that have been discontinued, leave a comment below!

Vegan Cheese Slices Brands

Field Roast Chao Vegan Slices

Field Roast Chao Vegan Cheese Slices

One of the easiest vegan cheese slices to find in stores is Field Roast Chao. The selection will vary from store to store, but if you can find them, you can try out Creamy Original, Tomato Cayenne, Smoked Original, Spicy Original, and Garden Herb.

You can find Field Roast Chao vegan slices at stores like Walmart, Target, Publix, Whole Foods, The Fresh Market, Albertsons and affiliates, Sprouts, Shaws, and more. Use their store locator to find a store near you that carries Field Roast products!

Follow Your Heart Dairy-Free Cheese Slices

Follow Your Heart Dairy Free Cheese Slices

Next up on the list is Follow Your Heart dairy-free cheese slices! Not only is Follow Your Heart cheese found in many grocery stores, but they also have many flavors that imitate real cheese flavors. Try their vegan American cheese slices, provolone, pepper jack, mozzarella, smoked gouda, garden herb and medium cheddar slices.

Use the Follow Your Heart Store Locator to find a store near you that carries these vegan cheese slices. They can often be found in stores like Walmart, Publix, Winn Dixie, The Fresh Market, Giant Eagle, Albertsons, Sprouts, Whole Foods, and more!

Violife Just Like Cheese Slices

Violife Just Like Cheese Slices

A brand that is growing in popularity (and one of my favorites!) is Violife. Violife specializes in vegan cheese products, and they have three varieties of plant-based cheese slices: cheddar, smoked provolone, and mature cheddar.

As I said, Violife cheese products are becoming more popular, so it’s hard to say which stores will carry them next. As of now, try finding them at Walmart, Publix, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Hy-Vee, Stop and Shop, and more. Type in your zip code on the Violife Store Locator to find a store near you!

Daiya Dairy Free Cheese Slices

Daiya Vegan Cheese Slices

One of the most well-known vegan cheese brands is Daiya, and there are four different Daiya vegan cheese slices to choose from. Try Daiya’s dairy free smoked gouda slices, mozza slices, cheddar slices, and Swiss slices!

The Daiya shreds are more popular than the slices, but you can expect to find this brand in stores like Target, Publix, Winn Dixie, Sprouts, Safeway, Frys, Pick ‘n Save, Hy-Vee, Price Cutter, and more! Use your zip code and select specific products on Daiya’s product locator to make sure these cheese slices are in a store near you.

GOOD PLANeT FOODS Plant-Based Cheese Slices

Good Planet Plant Based Cheese Slices

GOOD PLANeT FOODS plant-based cheese slices might be harder to find than the above brands, but there are five different flavors to choose from and worth a try if you can find them! In addition to vegan American cheese slices, they also have cheddar, smoked provolone, garlic and herb, and hot pepper!

The selection varies widely from store-to-store, so it’s not worth listing common stores here. Just hop on their product locator, select the specific cheese slices you are looking for, and type in your zip code to find the closest store to you!

Miyoko’s Creamery Vegan Cheese Slices

Miyoko's Creamery Vegan Cheese Slices

Miyoko’s Creamery makes vegan cheddar & pepper jack cheese slices, among many other plant-based cheese products! You’re most likely to find this brand of cheese slices at Whole Foods, but be sure to check Miyoko’s product locator to see if there are any other stores near you that carry their products!

Other (Cheaper) Vegan Cheese Slice Brands

Vegan cheese can be much pricier than regular cheese, but you don’t have to spend a lot for the name brand! If you want to save some money, check to see if a store sells their own brand of vegan cheese slices. I’ll list some below:

  • 365 Whole Foods Market: If you have a Whole Foods nearby, they sell their own brand of plant-based cheese slices! Look for the packages that are 365 brand and say “plant-based” on the label.
  • Simple Truth (Kroger): If you live next to a Kroger (or one of the many kroger affiliates like Frys, Smith’s, Pick ‘n Save, Fred Meyer, etc.), look for Simple Truth brand vegan cheese slices! These are sold exclusively at stores owned by Kroger and are much cheaper than the name brands!
