Vegan Sour Cream Substitutes
When you go vegan, it’s time to ditch the fermented cream — a.k.a sour cream. But you don’t just have to do without this condiment. There are plenty of vegan sour cream substitutes to choose from!
If you want to replace your sour cream with a plant-based alternative, there are three things you can do:
- use a similar vegan substitute (like guacamole)
- make your own homemade vegan sour cream
- buy one of the many store-bought vegan sour cream brands

Many vegan sour cream brands use soy as their base, but for those who are allergic to soy, I’ll write soy-free in the description of the products that do not contain any soy!
