Is Jello Vegan?

Jello is primarily made of gelatin — collagen that is obtained from boiling the skins, bones, tendons, and ligaments of animals, most often cows or pigs. Therefore, jello is not vegan.

However, there are a few vegan jello brands on the market today that are making jello from cruelty-free ingredients.

This list contains vegan jello mix products. They usually come in small boxes and are pre-flavored. If you need an unflavored vegan gelatin substitute that you can flavor yourself, most of these brands also have an unflavored version of their products!

All of these gelatin free jello products are vegan-friendly, but if they have any other certifications (like gluten-free or Kosher), this will be listed in the description under the photo.

You can buy these vegan jello powder products online using the linked online retailers. You can also find these products at many popular grocery stores, and some stores will be listed! If there is a product locator available, it will be linked in the description.

Ingredients are subject to change, so be sure to read the most updated label information before purchasing any of the products on this list.
