Texas Roadhouse Vegan Options
Texas Roadhouse is definitely not the most vegan-friendly restaurant out there. But don’t worry, if you happen to find yourself at this steakhouse, we’ll help you find something to snack on.
Because they serve so many people, many chain restaurants are very upfront about their ingredients and allergens in their food. This is usually very helpful to vegans, because vegans try to avoid many common allergens, such as milk, eggs, and fish.
When I tried to put together a list of all of the vegan options at Texas Roadhouse, I noticed that this chain restaurant was incredibly secretive about what’s in their food.
With a quick visit to their website, you’ll notice that there are no links for nutrition information or allergen information. There isn’t even an FAQ page to shed any light on the common allergens in their products. This is a nightmare for vegans (and for anybody with an allergy for that matter).
When this happens, we have to resort to contacting the restaurant directly. Whatever their reason for not disclosing the ingredients or allergen information in their food, they will definitely help you if you contact them. (Who would turn down a potential customer?)
This vegan guide was created by contacting customer service. Unfortunately, there are no other online resources to point to at this time.
Texas Roadhouse Allergen Menu
While Texas Roadhouse doesn’t have any online allergen information, the restaurant definitely has a gluten-free allergen guide available upon request at the restaurant.
Even though this isn’t much help for those looking to eat plant-based, it does give us hope that some menu items can be modified.
For example, on the gluten-free menu, you can ask for oil and vinegar on the salads, which is definitely a vegan alternative!
Vegan Options
The plant-based options at this steakhouse are slim, but you won’t have to sit there empty-handed while watching everyone else eat. While vegans try to avoid this whenever possible, you might have to resort to eating a side salad with oil & vinegar or snacking on some modified side dishes.
If you don’t want to resort to this (which I totally understand) you can always try out one of their many mixed drinks! Eating here on a plant-based diet is not ideal, but if you have to tag along with your friends or family, here’s an easy guide for how to eat vegan at Texas Roadhouse.

Thank you! This was really helpful as I am a new vegan and am not sure what restaurants have vegan options!
Glad this could help! 🙂
I was looking for allergen information. Pretty tough to go to a restaurant and not have allergen info. Thanks for posting. I got a gift card from someone… now, can I use it…
